We have only this life to live. We kind of waste most of our life when we add one unwanted ingredient in it. This unwanted ingredient to life is called “fear”. I am a person who always tries to run away from my fears. And I guess most of us do this all the time. I was just thinking that maybe this is a time to cut “fear” off from your life. It’s never late to do something positive for our selves.
When fear surrounds us, we don’t even trust ourselves neither our capabilities. The reason is that fear always shows downward directions. It leads us toward an endpoint and left us doubting our abilities. Use this moment as an opportunity to kill fear and live a comfortable fearless life.
Now the question arises, how to be an unafraid person? There are plenty of methods to overcome fear. Some are; taking deep breathe for relaxing your mind, taking the risk, doing exercise, trying to solve issues with calm behavior, facing your fear with confidence and realizing it existence, scaring your fear (this is funny), and most importantly appreciate yourself.
Let me give you my example. I was in my 10th grade, I was so scared of mathematics at that time. My tuition teacher once gave me a test and I failed it, poorly. This made me sad and I lose all of my hope of doing good in my exams. I know this is a childish example but trust me if you consider your all worldly fear as a childish thing, you will be able to overcome your fear in a shorter amount of time. So continuing my example, I had a fear of failing in a subject that could put a bad impact on my academic report. I considered sleepless nights, over hard-work, and putting so much pressure on myself as the last option. Once my teacher talked to me about my every day bad results in mathematics tests. I told him everything and told him I am doing extra hard work but no good results. He said “You can do anything by doing hard work but extreme is always bad. I think you have this “failing in mathematics” fear. You know what, if something scares you it’s better to scare it back”. At that moment I was like what is he talking about but I was willing to try anything at that moment. When I was practicing some questions, I took deep breathe and I told myself that “what could be the worst outcome, I would fail it? that’s it. It’s not more costly than my life”. So I tried solving questions with calm and positive behavior. With this behavior, I was making my fear scared of me. I honestly solved all of my questions without making any single mistake in it.
Again my example is so juvenile. But this little experience gave me a direction to face all of my fears. I do try to run away from my fear and problems, what can we say this, A human nature? But this time I wouldn’t do that again. As I took the risk and figure out my direction of facing fear. I will use this technique/path to face all of my fear. Because for a happy and satisfying life, you have to stand up for yourself against your fears as no one need this extra ingredient which ruins the happiness.
